In August the South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce recognised the outstanding commitment to Health & Safety from the Geeves team in Timaru. The team were delighted to be awarded the ‘Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety Award’ as part of celebrating business innovation in Timaru.
The treatment plant is a critical infrastructure asset to the Wellington region. It currently provides up to 80 million litres of drinking water per day, approximately 45% of the Wellington region’s drinking water demand.

Geeves was tasked with providing a solution for weather protection and access, allowing the safe removal of the heritage building roof to complete Seismic strengthening works. This project has many challenges, one of the greater challenges is that the scaffolding can not touch the building due to the condition of the building and the nature of the work.
